Arrgh!

Judah and I had just seen Ashplundh trim a tree in our alley, which was AWESOME! (My feet were so cold that it hurt to walk up the stairs.) But Judah was very impressed with the big tree truck in our alley. We were on our way to the neighbors house for a fun afternoon. He was going to play there for a while so that I could do some homework. After which I would join them and make cupcakes with them. Judah was excited. As we walk in I hear Judah say with great enthusiasm: "Hey Nate, (pause) Your booboo looks like a football!"

Yesterday Nate slipped when climbing into the car. On his way down he graced his head on his dad's extera running board. He gauged his eyebrow and ended up in the ER receiving 6 stitches. Nate's eye had swollen shut and it had turned pinkish red. So when Judah saw him his eye did look like a football.

Nate and Judah pretended to be pirates for most of the afternoon. Nate had one eye and Judah kept blinking trying to keep one eye shut. When I sat down in the living room Judah runs over to me and shows me his one eye being shut by holding down the eyelid with his hand. and he yells Arrgh. Then Nate comes over puts his hand over his good hand, yells Arrgh and says. "See I am a pirate too."

I smiled at the imagination of the two. Judah the one eyed pirate because of Nate's eye and Nate with both eyes closed following Judah's lead. running around the house yelling Arrgh while playing all kinds of games.

Photo challenge.......

A photo challenge: (a draft, suggestions are welcome)

The idea is that we have a different photographer or two every week. The goal is to take an image of that photographer and create your own image based upon the one you pick. Then, if possible, post an image or link of the original and your own shot. Of course this allows you to have full range of imagination and set up etc. You can not create a copy of an image. In other words your image should be based on an other image but should be your interpretation of it not just a replica of it.

Please suggest who your favorite photographer is and we will compose a list of photographers to pick from. And based upon the list we can decide how many shots a week we would like to attempt.
